
Combined Manual Handling and Basic Life Support
This course is ideal for new and existing staff to update and learn new skills. This is non accredited and support CQC training expectations.

Courses start from £300, maximum 12 attendees, dependent on location.
Course Duration; 6 hours

This course is designed to support healthcare workers in gaining the necessary knowledge to support their service users in times of medical need as well as more generalised day to day support within their environment. This course is provided to you with a qualified trainer and completed within your workplace for ease of attendance.
A basic life support course is a training program that teaches individuals how to provide immediate care to someone experiencing a life-threatening emergency. This can include CPR, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and other techniques to stabilize a person until medical professionals arrive.

Understand adult resuscitation techniques

Be able to demonstrate adult resuscitation techniques

Be able to demonstrate the management of an unresponsive casualty

Be able to demonstrate adult choking techniques.

A moving people safely course is a training program designed to teach individuals how to safely transport people from one location to another using equipment. The course covers topics such as moving a load, using a hoist and other mobility aids and how to support an individual to sit to stand.
Our learning outcomes include;

Understanding legislation relating to moving and assisting

Understand basic anatomy and the spine

Be able to assess moving and assisting operations and reduce risks where able

Understand the principle of safe moving and handling of people, including the use of equipment

Understand the importance of dignity

Be able to use a hoist safely.
By completing this course, your staff will have a great understanding of how to support their service users dependant on their mobility needs and how to support them in a medical emergency. This course requires a yearly update.
